Browns Brasserie & Bar in the Marriott Hotel Cardiff is open from breakfast to dinner serving British classics. The cosy new bar serves hand-crafted cocktails, artisan spirits and a fine selection of wine. The afternoon tea is £23 per person.
Waterloo Tea – Wyndham Arcade
In Wyndham Arcade on St Mary Street is Waterloo Tea. Afternoon tea is £25 per person. You can choose your own sandwiches, cake and tea from the menu, as well as getting scones and hand made chocolate truffles.

Wally’s Delicatessen and Kaffeehaus
When putting this website together, I never would have thought Wally’s would be on the list. In fact, I didn’t even know you could eat in. On the second floor, above the shop, is their cafe area. Their Viennese afternoon tea is £25 for two people and includes sandwiches and cakes from their patisserie. Available Monday – Saturday between 2pm-4pm and Sunday between 12pm-2pm.
Pen & Wig
The afternoon tea at the Pen & Wig is available daily between 12.30pm-4.30pm. Your sandwich selection will then be served with wonderfully light Scones topped with Clotted Cream & Tiptree Jam, along with a range of delightful bite-sized desserts, including cookie crumb profiteroles and Limoncello drizzle sponge. Plus, it’s only £15 per person. For £20 per person, you can add two glasses of Prosecco or two cocktails.

The Parkgate Hotel
The new Parkgate Hotel serves afternoon tea in The Sorting Room Bar & Lounge between 12.30pm-4pm. As a luxury afternoon tea in Cardiff, the restaurant is in the grand rooms of the old Post Office, which would have once been filled with hand-written letters and brown-paper packages. Monday to Friday, it’s £34 per person and £40 per person on Saturday and Sunday.
Hilton Cardiff
The restaurant, formally known as Grey, has reopened, been revamped and has a new menu. Graze at The Hilton Hotel in Cardiff serves a Welsh afternoon tea every day from 12pm to 4pm. There are triple-layer sandwiches, stunning cakes and a view of Cardiff Castle, for £30 per person.

Voco St David’s Cardiff
Tir a Môr restaurant, which means Land and Sea, at voco St David’s serves a Welsh-themed afternoon tea daily between 1.30pm-4.30pm. It’s probably the best afternoon tea in Cardiff with a view. The traditional selection is £32 per person. In the sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats are local products and ingredients such as Carmarthenshire ham, lava bread, Penderyn whiskey and Perl Wen.
