About Me: I’m Katrina, the writer and founder of this little corner of the internet, which began in 2018. I’m a Marketing Manager in the hospitality, travel and tourism industry by day. Whenever I would go to networking meetings and say that I am a marketer, the first thing I would be asked is, “how can my business be found online?” Of course, I said by blogging. Cardiff – Local Travel and Staycation Blog

I love writing articles about my hometown and life in Cardiff, things to do, where to eat and drink, and its history. As well as a little further afield into Wales and other travel and staycations I go on.

My rescue dog, Ivan the Irresistible, also loves adventure. So, you’ll often find him by my side. He’s a street dog from Bosnia, and according to the DNA test he’s a husky, collie, labrador, German shepherd. He LOVES other dogs (even the ones that don’t like him!) and is getting more confident with people. Follow his adventures on his own Instagram account.

If you hadn’t already guessed, I LOVE FOOD. I’m happiest when I’m either making a mess of the kitchen trying out new recipes or eating out whenever I can. Food is important to me; it has to be homemade, local produce as I’m a self-confessed food snob. I’m a cider drinker, spiced rum enthusiast and bottomless brunch addict. On weekends you’ll also find me match side cheering on Cardiff City Football Club or the Welsh Rugby Union team.

Finally, I often share beauty products and make-up reviews for those aged 30. And have been known to pass on marketing and blogging tips. Or, share my opinions on the current news.
