Places to eat and drink in Bridgend have come on leaps and bounds over the last few years. Most importantly, there is an increase of independents taking on the massive chain restaurants. More are producing food on the premises rather than relying on the microwave. The restaurants in Bridgend also use local Welsh produce, and most offer gluten-free and vegan options on the menu. Much to my delight, there has also been a rise in serving bottomless lunch in Bridgend.

Cane and Rye Bridgend
Every Saturday afternoon in Cane and Rye, between 1.30pm-5.30pm, you can raise a glass or two with a bottomless selection of gins, Prosecco, and cocktails for 2 hours. Alongside a delicious bird cage with nachos, strips, dough balls, sliders and fries.
£35 per person.
Hunters Lodge
At Hunters Lodge, the offer includes 90-minutes of bottomless drinks and a brunch dish. Brunch menu items include a full English or veggie breakfast, a breakfast wrap or scrambled eggs. Or, you can upgrade to a burger. The drink selection is exciting, with pints of Carling, Fosters, Strongbow or Prosecco. Upgrade to cocktails for £10 per person. Book on Saturday or Sunday between 12pm-4pm.

Morgan’s Bistro & Cocktail Bar
Morgan’s Bistro & Cocktail Bar is a popular venue, with its Instagramable flower walls and pink decorations. The monthly drag brunch includes two hours of bottomless Prosecco, a light lunch and entertainment. It takes place once a month on a Saturday at 1pm.

Nolton Corner
Once a month, you can kickstart your Saturday at the Nolton Corner. The cocktail bar Bridgend is home to Bont Gin. There are unlimited pints of Birra Moretti or Prosecco for 2 hours, between 1pm-3pm. Plus, three courses. Keep an eye on their social media for the next date.
