Previously known as Picking Patch at Coedarhydyglyn Park near Culverhouse Cross. This year, Cardiff Halloween Festivalย has moved to Cardiff Bay. It has glowing pumpkin displays, live shows, interactive games, trails, creative zones, fairground games, and family-friendly fun.

Clearwell Farm
The Clearwell Farm pumpkin patch in Cardiff allows the family to pick their own locally grown pumpkin – there are over 20 varieties to choose from.0 Even scarecrows guard the way to the farmyard and barn. The 200 acres of the farm are used to grow wheat, barley, oats, linseed and cider orchards to red tractor standard. So, you can expect the same from the pumpkin farm in Cardiff.
Plus, there’s also Harvest of Horrors. Once a thriving farm, the land is now cursed, the crops are rotten, the animals twisted, and the farmers… not quite human. Brave souls can venture into three terrifying zones brought to life with live actors, eerie effects, and chilling soundscapes.

Forage Farm
In Cowbridge, just outside Cardiff, is Forage Farm’s pumpkin picking patch. The Pumpkin Festival is more than just pumpkin picking. Take a ride on a real tractor, get lost in the giant maize maze and get your face painted. This year, you can also meet alpacas and piglets.
The Twilight event is recommended for those aged 8 plus, as there are scary characters in the maize maze. For an additional cost, you can also participate in pumpkin catapulting, ride the bucking pumpkin, pony rides and paintballing.
Dates: 4-31 October 2025 with Daytime and Twilight timeslots.
Cost: A pre-booked ticket is required, which covers one car for the event. The daytime event is ยฃ10 per car and ยฃ7 per car for the twilight event.

Greenland Farm is known as Vale Pick Your Own. They have three times as many pumpkins this year. The team also set up pumpkin pyramids to make it easier for you to choose. The pumpkin picking patch in Cardiff also has a cafรฉ – where you can get a pumpkin spiced latte – outdoor seating, and a maize maze.
There’s even twilight pumpkin picking with a brand new light trail, spooktacular photo opportunities and some surprises along the way. There’s also a licensed bar, fire pit and live music every evening. Choose your pumpkin under the stars!

Pencoed Fach Organic Farm
The pumpkin patch near Cardiff has over 20 varieties with many shapes, colours and sizes. This year, the event is even closer to the farmyard, meaning much less walking. Pencoed Fach Organic Farm Shop is open every day. Visitors can enjoy hot food, ice cream, milkshakes, and sweet treats from The Littlest Dairy, and meet some of the resident animals in The Little Meadow. Itโs set to be a fun, family-friendly day out full of autumn spirit and Halloween cheer.

Colliers Adventure Farm hosts special ALN (additional learning needs) Halloween Pumpkin Picking sessions. Explore the ‘Witches Kitchen’ for ghoulish delights, toast marshmallows, and hop on the ‘Bump in the Night’ barrel train.
