If you’re on the hunt for a bottomless Sunday lunch in Cardiff, Thomas Restaurant at Future Inns in Cardiff Bay is a total winner. Mum and I recently tried it, and it’s exactly the kind of indulgent, relaxed weekend treat you dream of. Two hours of unlimited Prosecco, generous roasts, and decadent desserts – what more could you want on a Sunday?

Best Bottomless Sunday Lunch Cardiff
Honestly, this is your sign to book a table. The portions are generous, the Prosecco is unlimited for up to 2 hours, and the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or family. Whether you’re a roast enthusiast or just in it for the bottomless drinks, Thomas Restaurant nails it. For me, the crispy roasties, huge Yorkshire pudding, and decadent desserts made it one of the best Sunday lunches in Cardiff I’ve experienced.

About the Restaurant
Thomas Restaurant isn’t the first restaurant you think of in Cardiff Bay. Many assume it’s just for hotel guests or it’s going to be overpriced microwave meals. But that’s not the case. It’s open to all and is trying to be known for its fresh, locally sourced produce, with individual dishes cooked on site.
The menu showcases classic British and Welsh dishes. From hearty breakfasts to leisurely lunches, indulgent dinners, and Afternoon Tea (which you can also upgrade to bottomless), it’s a place that caters to all tastes. The bar area is inviting, and in summer, you can make the most of the outdoor terrace with cocktails in hand.

What’s on the Bottomless Brunch Menu
The Bottomless Sunday Lunch is where it really shines. When we visited, we tried:
- Starters: We kicked things off with Welsh rarebit – gooey, cheesy, and basically the toast of my dreams. Other options included homemade soup or a ham hock terrine if you’re feeling fancy.
- Main Roast: The big decision – beef or pork? Both come with crispy roast potatoes, a huge Yorkshire pudding, swede and carrot mash, cauliflower cheese, and breaded Parmesan parsnips, all swimming in rich gravy. I’m that person who puts mint sauce on every roast I have (don’t judge), and the staff happily obliged. Horseradish and apple sauce were also on offer, so your condiments are well covered.
- Alternative Mains: If you’re not a meat-eater, there was a veggie cottage pie. And a cod with soy and ginger sauce and a pile of Asian veggies – so everyone gets in on the feast.
- Desserts: We heroically made room for sticky toffee pudding and a vegan caramel cheesecake so creamy I had to double-check it was actually vegan. Both were pure indulgence and the perfect sweet ending, even if my jeans disagreed.
- Drinks: Two hours – yes, a full 120 minutes – of bottomless Prosecco. If that’s not a recipe for a brilliant Sunday, I don’t know what is.
