A charming little station on the Conwy Valley line with views that are ridiculously pretty for a platform. Even if you’re not arriving by train, it’s worth a wander – it’s a perfect Instagram picture spot. It connects Betws-y-Coed to Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog, making car-free exploring easy. The surrounding scenery alone makes it one of the underrated things to see in Betws-y-Coed.

A small railway museum and model train attraction next to the station. Perfect for kids (and big kids). It gives nostalgic energy in the best way. St Michael’s Old Church
A historic church tucked away in peaceful woodland. It’s quiet, beautiful and steeped in history. Even if you’re not into churches, the setting alone is worth it. It feels like stepping into a storybook version of Wales.

St Mary’s Church
I love a bit of church crawling! A striking Victorian church surrounded by trees and greenery. Architecture lovers will appreciate the detail, and it’s a calm spot to pause during your Betws-y-Coed activities.

Pont y Pair Bridge
A stone bridge spanning the River Llugwy right in the heart of the village. The river crashes dramatically below, especially after rain. The picturesque stone arch bridge is one of the most photographed spots in Betws-y-Coed and a must for that “we’ve arrived in Eryri” moment.
The bridge was originally built around 1500 and became an important crossing of the river. It was originally wide enough for packhorses, and was subsequently enlarged. It is still a major traffic crossing.

Coed Tan Dinas Path
A short, scenic woodland walk following the Afon Llugwy through Coed Tan Dinas. The trail winds beneath towering Douglas fir trees and is clearly waymarked. This is one of the easier Betws-y-Coed walks. Perfect if you want fresh forest air without climbing a mountain. It’s manageable for families, ideal for stretching your legs.

Swallow Falls
One of the most famous waterfalls in Wales is just outside the village. Because it’s dramatic, powerful and completely mesmerising. The boardwalk makes it accessible, and after heavy rain, it’s honestly breathtaking. This is one of the top-rated attractions in North Wales for a reason.
