Places To Eat In Mullion

Whether you’re after a cosy pub, a quick bite by the sea, or something a little more special, Mullion has a great mix of places to eat for every kind of trip.

The Old Inn Mullion

If you’re after somewhere reliable, relaxed, and genuinely dog-friendly, The Old Inn Mullion is a bit of a winner. It’s got that cosy pub feel with low beams and a welcoming atmosphere, making it ideal after a day exploring the coast. The menu covers all the classics – think juicy burgers, fish and chips, hunters’ chicken, pasta dishes, and even woodfired pizzas – so there’s something for everyone. They also serve a solid Sunday lunch and occasionally host live music.

Mounts Bay Inn

The Mounts Bay Inn is another easy, laid-back option that’s perfect for a casual meal. The menu leans towards comfort-food favourites, including hearty fish pie, stacked burgers, and stone-baked pizzas. If you’re around at the weekend, their Saturday burger night is worth timing your visit for.

Polurrian on the Lizard

For something a little more special, Polurrian on the Lizard offers a more upscale dining experience, focusing on seasonal dishes and a polished setting. Menus and opening times can vary depending on the season, so it’s worth checking ahead, but the elevated feel and coastal location make it a lovely option when you fancy something a bit different from standard pub fare.

Porthmellin Cafe

Right down at the cove, Porthmellin Café is perfect for a relaxed, no-fuss bite to eat with a sea view. It’s ideal after a coastal walk or a morning exploring Mullion Cove, with simple, tasty options that hit the spot. The crab sandwiches are a standout and feel very fitting for the setting, but you’ll also find other light bites and refreshments that make it easy to linger a little longer by the water.

Mullion Cove Hotel Bar & Bistro

If you’re in the mood to treat yourself, the Mullion Cove Hotel Bar & Bistro pairs incredible sea views with a more premium-style menu. Expect dishes like fresh mussels and slow-cooked lamb shank, alongside other well-executed classics. It’s definitely on the pricier side compared to other options in the village, but for a special meal – or even just drinks with a view – it’s absolutely worth it.

The Old Inn Mullion

We stayed at the Old Inn in Mullion. Our large, bright room had everything we needed, and we loved how our dog was welcome everywhere – it made the whole experience feel far more relaxed.

The pub itself is a real highlight, serving great food and a vast selection of drinks. Breakfast is cooked to order and of very good quality overall (they can do a perfect poached egg!). It’s also wonderfully quiet at night, and the car park directly opposite is very convenient.
