Let’s start with the star of The Square Jersey Menu: The Square Hand-dived Jersey Scallops. These delectable morsels are expertly cooked in a Josper oven, achieving a perfect golden sear on the outside while retaining their tender juiciness inside. The addition of crispy pancetta provides a savory contrast to the scallops’ natural sweetness. A touch of apple and a sprinkle of dill elevate this dish to perfection.
Next, let’s dive into the messier territory with The Square Sticky Chicken Wings. These wings were slathered in a Korean BBQ sauce that was perfectly balanced, sweet, and spicy. Each bite was a flavour explosion, and the sesame seeds and spring onions sprinkled on top added a delightful crunch and freshness. Finger-licking good? Absolutely.
Rounding out our culinary journey, we have The Square Tandoori Chicken Thighs. These were marinated to perfection and grilled to achieve that signature tandoori char. The blackened sweetcorn provided a smoky, caramelised sweetness that paired brilliantly with the succulent, spicy chicken. It is on the milder side; I would have liked a bit more of a kick.
The onion bhaji was crispy, the perfect companion to the chicken thighs. And let’s not forget the cucumber and mango yoghurt – a creamy dip that tied the whole dish together in a refreshing embrace. It was oh-so-delicious.

My fellow diners were equally delighted with their choices. They savoured the Minted Lamb Kofta with Greek flatbread, cucumber yoghurt, sumac onions, pickled chilli, and herb salad, which delivered a harmonious blend of Mediterranean flavours.
The Square Beef Burger featured BBQ pulled pork, smoked Cheddar, mustard aioli, crispy onions, pickles, and skin-on fries. It was a tower of indulgence that left them thoroughly impressed and happily stuffed.
