Martha’s Vineyard Milford Haven Review

Some meals just hit the spot – the kind where the plates come back wiped clean, the atmosphere makes you linger a little longer, and you immediately start planning what you’ll order next time. That was very much the case with our recent visit to Martha’s Vineyard in Milford Haven, where the setting, service, and seriously good cooking all came together beautifully.

Restaurants in Milford Haven

This was one of those meals where everything just worked – the setting, the service, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the Martha’s Vineyard Food. It’s relaxed enough for a casual bite, special enough for a treat, and welcoming enough for couples, groups, and the whole family.

If you’re anywhere near Milford Haven Wales, and looking for somewhere reliably good, full of flavour and right on the water, this is a place that truly delivers on great food and a memorable dining experience.

Milford Haven Marina Restaurants

Sitting right by the water, this is the sort of place that feels special without being stuffy. It’s relaxed, welcoming and buzzing in that easy, confident way that comes from knowing you’re doing things right. Add in generous portions, bold flavours and a menu that knows exactly what it’s about, and you’re onto a winner.

One of the real joys of eating here is the location. With views over the water and boats gently bobbing nearby, you’re perfectly placed to soak up the atmosphere of the Milford Haven Waterway. Whether you’re inside enjoying the cosy, stylish décor or sitting outside watching the world go by at Milford Waterfront, it’s a cracking place to settle in with good company and even better plates.

Milford Haven Menu

What We Ordered (and Loved)

The Crispy Chicken Wings deserve a special shout-out, because they’re exactly the kind of dish that disappears far too quickly. Perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy within, they’re coated in a Pembrokeshire Chilli Farm chipotle glaze that brings a smoky, gently warming kick rather than full-on fire. The roast garlic aioli adds a rich, creamy contrast, while the sprinkle of black onion seeds gives a subtle savoury crunch.

I went all-in with the Beef Brisket Burger, and honestly, I’d order it again tomorrow. A juicy beef patty topped with slow-roast brisket that had clearly been cooked with patience and love, all smothered in Barti BBQ sauce and burger sauce, with Monterey Jack bringing the ooze factor. Crisp dill pickles, lettuce and beef tomato added freshness, while skin-on chips and a crunchy coleslaw rounded things off perfectly. It was indulgent, messy, and absolutely lush!

My partner opted for the Stack Rock IPA, battered fresh haddock, and chips, and it was textbook comfort done properly. The batter was crisp and light, the fish flaky and generous, and the chips exactly how you want them. Served with mushy peas, tartare sauce and proper chip shop curry sauce, it was hearty, satisfying and full of flavour. Proof that simple classics, when done well, really don’t need messing about with.

What Else Can You Expect on the Menu?

Beyond what we ate, the menu is a solid crowd-pleaser with plenty of choices. You can expect a strong focus on locally inspired dishes, including beautifully cooked fresh fish, seafood specials and seasonal plates that make the most of Pembrokeshire’s coastal location. There are burgers, steaks, lighter bites, and comforting pub-style favourites, alongside veggie-friendly options and dishes that work just as well for a long lunch as for a relaxed evening meal.

It’s easy to see why this spot regularly pops up in conversations about the best restaurants in Pembrokeshire. The menu balances familiarity with flair, and everything feels thoughtfully put together rather than churned out.

Martha’s Vineyard Milford Haven Prices

Both of our dishes were £18, plus a few drinks. The price range for mains and a drink usually sits around £25–£30 per head. A full meal for two with starters, mains and a glass of wine can come in somewhere around £70–£80 on average – not cheap as chips, but definitely worth it for the quality, atmosphere and service you’re getting.

Is Martha’s Vineyard Milford Haven Dog Friendly?

Always a big win in our book: Martha’s Vineyard is dog-friendly, which makes it ideal if you’re exploring the area with your four-legged sidekick. The welcome is warm, the atmosphere relaxed, and it’s the kind of place where dogs are genuinely welcome rather than begrudgingly tolerated. It’s a great spot to refuel after a walk, and you don’t have to leave anyone behind.

We felt more than welcome with Ivan, who, at times, got up and moved around, interested in what was happening around him. Other guests did come over to fuss over him and give him some leftovers and treats.
