An exciting new art trail is across South Wales for Spring 2022. The Snoopy trail Cardiff is a public art event where everyone in the city can get involved. Find over 50 uniquely designed large Snoopy sculptures across Cardiff between 8 April and 5 June 2022 – for free! Here’s all you need to know about A Dog’s Trail.

I have been looking forward Snoopy Trail Cardiff 2022 to this for a while. Because of our old friend COVID, the event was postponed. But, it’s here, and we can find Snoopy in Cardiff.
A Dogs Trail Cardiff
Snoopy is one of the most famous dogs in the world. The Dogs Trust have teamed up with him to create A Dog’s Trail. Customised by national artists, the Snoopy art can be found in prominent locations across the city centre. All to raise awareness of dog welfare and their new rehoming centres in Cardiff city. A cause close to my own heart after rescuing Ivan the Irresistible in December 2020. We often share our dog-friendly travels if you’re after some inspiration.
The city centre, Cardiff Bay and parks will become home to colourful Snoopy sculptures designed by local and national artists. Each one is unique, with its own story to tell, and has a sponsor – either a business or an individual. Including Cardiff Council, Capital Radio, For Cardiff and Cardiff Castle.
Cardiff will look very colourful this spring! The sculptures are all 1.5 metres tall and will be decorated differently. From floral to space inspired, abstract art to mythical creatures.

When is A Dog’s Trail taking place in Cardiff? You can find the giant-sized Snoopy sculptures between 8th April and 5th June 2022.
Where can you find the Snoopy dogs in Cardiff?
You can download the Dog’s Trail App in the Apple App Store or Google Play. A PDF version is also available on the website. You can expect to find them at Cardiff Castle, the Civic Centre, Roath Park, Thompson Park, Victoria Park and Cardiff Bay and Mermaid Quay.

Did I mention it’s FREE?
It’s a mass participation event, so grab family or friends, put on your walking boots or comfy shoes, and explore. This is perfect if you’re looking to entertain the kids (and get them moving without realising). However, you can also discover them solo, with a plus one or as a group. You could probably fit it all into one day or spread it out over a few weekends.
Is it dog-friendly?
Absolutely! As the sculptures are outdoors, it is a dog friendly trail. It’ll take you through some of Cardiff’s best dog walks. Hopefully, you’ll have better luck than me getting your pooch to pose in front of them. Ivan will not sit still long enough to take a picture – he’s wild!

Head to Caerphilly and Porthcawl
If you’re travelling around South Wales, you’ll be able to find even more of the dog sculptures UK. In Caerphilly, you’ll find them at Caerphilly Railway Station, on Cardiff Road, Dafydd William Park, Crescent Road, Morgan Jones Park and Castle Court Shopping Centre.
Over in Porthcawl, you can find Snoopy Dog Vinci in Station Hill, at Porthcawl Harbour and Rest Bay.
Getting around Cardiff has never been easier
Transport for Wales now offers Multiflex, which gives you 12 journeys for the same price as 5 returns. And, who doesn’t want to save money? With stops in Taffs Well, Radyr, Whitchurch, Llandaff North, Cathays, two in the city centre – Queen Street and Cardiff Central – plus Cardiff Bay. You can even get the train to Caerphilly on the Rhymney line and Pyle Train Station or Bridgend Train Station near Porthcawl.
