We Are Cardiff is a popular blog page about the city, its people and its culture. They have launched a series, inviting people to write Letters from Cardiff in Lockdown. Each piece from the contributors showcases their perspective on how COVID-19 has impacted them, as long as you don’t use the word unprecedented.

It is an unusual situation. The VE Day celebrations a few weeks ago allowed us to draw comparisons. But we have never been through anything like this before, and Cardiff is no exception.
The people who have written letters come from all walks of life and reside in various parts of the city. There are letters from Cardiff during lockdown from small business owners, nurses, doctors, and families. Even a 2-year-old, with the help of her adult, has written a letter. They have been moving, they have been funny, and they have been real.
My letter is titled ‘From a woman in business to a 1950s housewife’.
