If you’re looking for a restaurant in Bristol that will whisk your taste buds away to somewhere far sunnier (without the faff of airport queues), Cappadocia Restaurant is your one-way ticket to foodie bliss. Inspired by the dreamy region of Cappadocia in Turkey – not to be confused with Cappadocia Italy – this lively Turkish spot is bursting with flavour, colour, and that classic warm welcome you’d expect from a Mediterranean eatery.

Cappadocia Bristol Reviews

We popped into Cappodocia Bristol for an early dinner before seeing a show at the Bristol Hippodrome. We were immediately handed a complimentary bread basket and dips – the start every meal should have. Fresh, warm bread ready to dunk into dips, with the garlicky number taking gold. If you like your breath potent and your tastebuds happy, you’re in for a treat.

Chicken Shish

This dish is what Turkish food dreams are made of: juicy, marinated chicken cubes skewered and grilled over charcoal until tender and slightly smoky. It was a hearty, colourful plate that hit every note. Served with fluffy rice, a rocket salad, grated carrot, pickled cabbage, and a vibrantly dressed salad.

Three Cheese Pizza

Forget your standard cheese and tomato job – this Turkish take brings the holy trinity of feta, halloumi and mozzarella together on a thin, crispy base. It’s salty, savoury, creamy and altogether glorious. Pizza, but make it Turkish.

Turkish Chicken Fajita

Think sizzling chicken strips, lovingly marinated, with sweet sautรฉed peppers and onions. It arrived piping hot with salad on the side and a cone of tortillas, so you can build your own wraps and dive right in. Bonus points for how tender the chicken was.

The Vibe

Cappadocia Bristol has that vibrant, welcoming feel you’d expect. There’s a buzzy atmosphere without it being overwhelming, and the staff are warm, attentive, and happy to walk you through the menu if you’re new to Turkish food. The dรฉcor is fun and atmospheric – expect colour, opulent tiles, and just enough sparkle to make it feel special.
