It’s recommended that the applicator be sterilised before you use it. Immersing it in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes. It can then be dried and the lid put back on. Don’t boil the lid! During your period, you just clean it with soap and water.
How to use tampon applicator:
- Wash your hands.
- Remove the lid.
- Pull the plunger out.
- Open the hinge.
- Unwrap your tampon and pull out the string checking it is secure.
- Ensure the string is coming out of the hole.
- Close the hinge.
- Get yourself into a comfortable position. (I usually put one leg on the bath or the toilet seat.)
- Insert into the vagina, aiming upwards, push the plunger all the way in.
The flexible rounded tip helps aid an easy insertion. The grip lines help you hold and position the applicator correctly. I found it incredibly comfortable to use and mess-free. I actually found it easier to use than the regular applicators as it’s stronger and sturdier.
