Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com Glitter Palette Review

With Christmas on the way, even if it’s going to be a bit different this year, it’s still all about the glitz and glamour. With this in mind, I’m trying out Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com Glitter Palette to show you how easy it is to create a party look with minimal effort.

Ad | I can’t tell you how excited I was when the Glitter Eyeshadow Palette arrived in the post. The sparkly gold casing just screams yuletide festivities, you will fall in love at first sight. Inside there are 24 different dazzling shades, which will suit all skin tones.

As a super pale person, I generally avoid buying colourful palettes like this, as typically only a few colours would suit my skin tone. Not with this one, the pigments are so vivid in these colours. The blues really compliment my grey eye colour, whereas the pinks give a great girly glow. I think gold and silvers will be my popular go-to’s. It is incredibly easy to use and achieve a stunning look – trust me, my make-up skills are rudimentary.

I am also in my mid-thirties and did worry that glitter would be a bit too young or trendy for me. It is something I wore in my early clubbing days, in the early noughties. However, nearly 20 years on, I think I can still pull it off – even if I am wearing it differently. What do you think?

The glitter eyeshadow is loose, pressed, so you do need to use a glitter glue or primer underneath. (I used a lip primer in my photos because I only had a wet based skin primer in my make-up bag. I had forgotten I had run out. I have also read that eyelash glue works well too.) It is also recommended to use a setting spray, to give the glitter real staying power. The glitter can be used on the body too.

Is Jolie Beauty good?

Since lockdown, and working from home, I don’t usually wear make-up unless I’m leaving the house. When I do, it is only a touch here and there. I have also tried the Jolie Beauty make-up blushers and bronzer, which made me fall in love with the brand. They are so light, and you can’t feel it sitting on the skin.

The Jolie Beauty make-up range is highly rated, which you can see by other reviews. On Trust Pilot, they have a super high rating of 4.9. I am not surprised, the colours are fantastic, it is so soft, easy to apply and comfortable to wear.

My thoughts…

I am thrilled that the Jolie Beauty glitter eyeshadows are now in my make-up bag. I rarely fall in love with a beauty product, but I’m hooked on these. After nearly a year stuck at home, I’m looking forward to wearing the array of glitter colours at festivals, weddings and nights out in 2021. I can’t wait to try out some of the other products in the Jolie Beauty collection when my make-up bag needs topping up.
