There are a few mistakes when traveling solo that will put a downer on your plans. Most are trivial and can be overcome. But there are a few that can be pretty serious, as listed here.

Packing Too Much Stuff
It may not sound serious, but packing too much stuff when traveling can be an issue with many extended consequences. It can increase your costs, make getting around much harder, and add to the list of daily chores, such as washing clothing. You don’t need loads when traveling, so pack only what you think you will need and buy underwear and inexpensive stuff along the way.
Money Mistakes when Traveling Solo
One of the worst things that can happen when traveling is running out of money. This will limit what you can and cannot do and can even cause you to ration food. Always make sure you have enough. However, it is also helpful to be careful about how much money you carry too. You can be mugged or have your money stolen no matter where you are in the world these days.
Not Being as Safe as You Can
Safety when traveling is perhaps the most crucial part. Yet you may not think you need to stay safe when visiting somewhere stunning. But the fact is that anything can happen at any time, and tourists are likely targets for criminals and opportunists. Additionally, you may not be qualified or experienced enough to engage in a dangerous activity such as abseiling or even hiking.
Don’t let fate choose you, and take control of your safety. Check out this infographic for more:
