Weddings are expected to be popular in 2022. In the United States alone, more than 2.6 million brides are planning to go down the aisle. A record for the last 40 years. As a result, many couples are eagerly seeking new wedding ideas and trends for their approaching big day: wedding dresses and suits, decor and floristry, food and entertainment for guests, locations, and wedding cars. So let’s start with the last one mentioned.
Wedding car
Undoubtedly, a spectacular appearance at your own holiday disturbs the minds of many newlyweds. Over the past decades, we have seen respectable cars, retro cars, motorcycles and, of course, good old limousines. Recently, a bright supercar can provide a wow effect. Many couples organizing a wedding, for example, in the United Arab Emirates, most often choose luxury cars for rent. Therefore, if you are thinking about such an exotic wedding in the Middle East, feel free to rent a Lamborghini in Dubai. And enjoy the admiring glances of passers-by and, of course, your guests when you appear. In general, car rentals have long ceased to have event seasonality. Now car rentals have become incredibly accessible and understandable. Anyone can afford to rent a luxury car that is not possible to buy. It can be done on a trip or for pleasure, not just for a wedding.
Dress rental
Reasonable consumption and environmental friendliness are gradually, but in the right direction, leading us to the fact that renting a wedding dress will no longer be the lot of only those who do not have enough money to buy an outfit. We’ve seen couples go plastic-free and separate after-wedding waste collection, hand out flowers, and bet on a vegetarian menu. But few brides appreciated the trend of buying a wedding dress in a thrift store. Another thing is vintage. Especially when a dress of a famous designer can be purchased several times cheaper.

This is a real revolution in the world of wedding fashion! Experts predict that every year there will be more and more services for renting designer wedding dresses, and many brides are already ready to consider such an opportunity instead of saving money to buy an expensive outfit.
Anniversary wedding
This trend owes its appearance to the pandemic and its associated restrictions. Planning a trip and a large-scale wedding in 2021 was not easy. Last year, many couples either postponed the wedding for a year or celebrated it modestly – they signed together or in the circle of their closest ones. Accordingly, a large number of “postponed” events fell in 2021. And people loved it!
Celebrating a wedding two days in a row is in the order of things, but two years in a row is something new! So we are waiting for beautiful repeat ceremonies and do not forget about wedding packages “vow renewal” in various resorts, which will be especially popular in 2022.
Wedding without smartphones
In an age where everyone seems to be living on their own gadgets, celebrations are gaining popularity where guests and newlyweds leave their smartphones at home and enjoy the moment without hundreds of selfies and social media posts. A professional photographer will take pictures for memory, and the main task of the guests is to live in real life, here and now. The last thing you as a couple need is to look at your wedding photos and see everyone taking pictures on their phones as you walk down the aisle.
Favourite pet at the wedding
A very cute trend that is gaining momentum. If you have a favourite pet, take it with you to your wedding photo session. After all, a pet is also a member of the family.
Some, however, go even further and entrust their four-legged friends with an important mission: to carry wedding rings to the altar. It looks nice, but there are too many potential pitfalls. A pet as a ring bearer is one of those “wonderful” ideas that are only good in theory. Dirty paws and a white dress are not the best combinations. In addition, if your dog or cat is not trained by professionals, he may simply get scared and run away, taking the rings with him.
Interactive Entertainment
Entertainment has always been the focus of attention at weddings, especially musical accompaniment – live music as an orchestra, solo artists or groups. This year we propose not to be limited only to music and professional dancers. Photography-related entertainment will not be superfluous either. Photo booths with instant photos, photo zones or a photographer with a film / Polaroid camera will be able to diversify not only the leisure of guests but also their Instagram feed.
