For many years now, a lot of emphases has been put on buying local and supporting small businesses. With this in mind, I have put together a list of some of my favourite independent Welsh companies you can buy Christmas gifts from.

Buy from Welsh Companies this Christmas
Buying Christmas presents can be massively challenging. There are a lot of talented and creative people here in Wales, so we are not short of choice when it comes to homegrown gifts. These Welsh companies sell artwork or candles, chocolate or a little tipple – make someone in your life happy with any one of these Welsh gifts.
Cartref Clyd
Decorated with Welsh slogans Cartref Clyd (Cozy Home in English) have t-shirts, jumpers, pyjamas and children’s clothing. They even have cushions and Christmas stockings. How cool is this Christmas jumper?
Clever Chefs
Can’t take mum or gran out for afternoon tea this Christmas? Get one sent to them, to enjoy. Clever Chefs even have bloke boxes and gourmet meals for two.
The Preservation Society
Nothing says Christmas more to me than jars of homemade onion chutney, piccalilli, jam, relish and other preserves that you can overindulge in. There are lots to choose from at The Preservation Society.
Wickedly Welsh Chocolate
Indulgent luxury chocolate with unique flavours. If you have friends or family living away from home, these chocolate gifts from Wickedly Welsh will make them feel Welsh pride.
Pethau
The mini handbags have become synonymous with Pethau (with is things or stuff in Welsh). You can also purchase t-shirts, jumpers, cushions and cosmetics bags.
Caws Cenarth Cheese
Whether you are giving them as a gift or just stocking up, so you have a full cheeseboard selection, you can’t go wrong with Caws Cenarth. The cheddar with balsamic onion is one of my favourites.
Hallets Cider
I am a massive cider fan, and Hallets really hits the spot. You can buy them buy the case, in cans or bottles, and there are gift sets too.
Arda Home
There is an extensive range, with home and garden, jewellery and gifts for all occasions. I am in love with the Christmas collection which includes cushions, jugs, mugs, candles, aprons and oven gloves.
Mug Run Coffee
I love their tagline, “Fresh roasted ethical coffee. Handcrafted with a Welsh spoon full of love.” Mug Run Coffee have gift boxes as well as subscription boxes.
Banter Cards
I love the cheekiness from the Banter Cards range. There is a whole host of naughty greeting cards as well as stocking fillers such as tote bags, notebooks, mugs and beach towels.
Case for Cooking
For foodie family and friends, these spice kits and cooking pastes come with full recipe cards. Case for Cooking is perfect for home cooks of all ages.
Caru Coco
These chocolates look too good to eat, but if you insist… They are hand-painted. The morish flavours include chocolate orange, pistachio praline and morello cherry.
Welsh Gift Shop
There is so much to choose from, including homeware and kitchenware, books, posters and jewellery. You can also purchase personalised gifts from the Welsh Gift Shop.
Cole & Co
These beautiful toiletries and home fragrance products are made by hand. The Cole & Co soaps and shampoo bars are a particular favourite of mine.
I hope some of the Welsh businesses I have mention have given you some inspiration. Pob lwc – good luck with your Christmas shopping
