Your wedding is one of the happiest days of your life, and it makes sense to make sure that your honeymoon follows suit. If you want something really special for your honeymoon, there’s nothing quite like the romantic, beautiful, and historic sights of Italy.
Before You Go
Before you set off, it’s best to have everything squared away and ready to go. While it’s traditional to go away straight after the wedding, this isn’t necessary. Some couples prefer to wait a little while either to arrange things or to save up.
But if you do plan on leaving right away, some people find an all-inclusive deal is much easier to deal with. This way, you can focus on the wedding itself.
At the very least, you should get your documents prepared and your bags packed well before you go. This cuts down on as much stress as possible so you can enjoy your break.

Eating and romance go hand in hand, especially when you’re in Italy. Italy is the land of amazingly good and simple food.
Before you go, make sure you’re prepared and understand the do’s and don’t about Italian cuisine. If possible, look for small, local places to eat. You’ll get better food, better prices, and a more authentic experience.
You should also check the opening hours in advance. Most restaurants are open for lunch, then close between about 2pm and 8pm. So be prepared to wait for your dinner and work out what to do to avoid getting hungry.
Places to Stay
When planning your honeymoon, look into different options for places to stay. A city break is perfect if you want a convenient and romantic getaway. The cities are stunning and a lot of what you need is easily accessible.
However, if you prefer a bit of privacy and don’t mind sacrificing convenience, why not consider a place in the country? You might be able to find cheaper and more impressive accommodation, and you can appreciate the natural beauty around you.
A Taste of Luxury
When you’re on your honeymoon, it makes sense to seek out a bit of luxury for a treat. One fantastic thing you can do is to use a luxury car rental service. This is a bucket list experience, and there’s nothing like driving a luxury car around one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
Otherwise, consider staying in a luxury hotel for a night or even having a meal in a restaurant you normally wouldn’t dream of. It’s your honeymoon, so plan and enjoy the experience.

Otherwise, you can find plenty of things to do on your honeymoon. You can explore cities, wander around museums and galleries, and go for walks or more wild adventures in the countryside.
Italy features a massive variety of places to visit and activities to enjoy, so make the most of them. While it’s good to be flexible, a plan is a great way to get things organised beforehand.
