Olive and Rosemary Soda Bread UK Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams Self-raising flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Bicarbonate Soda
  • 100 grams Natural yoghurt
  • 30 grams Black olives chopped
  • 1 spring Rosemary chopped

Equipment

  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper or Greaseproof paper
  • Wooden spoon
  • Mixing bowl
  • Kitchen weighing scales
  • Measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 or gas mark 6
  2. Line the baking tin with the parchment or greaseproof paper
  3. Sift the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda in a bowl
  4. Stir in the olives and rosemary
  5. Add the yoghurt and bring the dough together with a wooden spoon. You may need to add water, do this a tablespoon at a time.
  6. Press the dough mixture out in a circle on the tray
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the bread sounds hollow when you tap on the underside
  8. Cool on a wire rack, and make sure it is cool before cutting
