When I started my blog in May 2018, I never intended to get any type of recognition for it. I started because whenever I met clients or professionals who knew about my role in marketing, they would ask what they needed to do to drive more traffic to their website. I would always recommend blogging. We all know there’s a bit more to it than just writing an article – that in itself can be challenging for some. I thought I have to practise what I preach, and it just became a creative outlet for me. I use it as somewhere for the articles that magazines and online publications did not ‘print’ to go, as well as my adventures and vacant ramblings.

For hundreds of years, communication took place in several ways, you either sat down and had a conversation with someone or you wrote your thoughts and feelings down in a letter. I am not talking about the letters that you get from the bank or bills, but the incredibly intimate ones.
I love reading stories or coming across collections of love letters that have lasted through time. Soldiers on the front lines telling their mother or the betrothed that they are well and are longing to see them again, as well as begging for snippets of home. When they received them, did they smell like home or of their lovers’ perfume? Some even included pressed flowers or a lock of hair to remind them of the wonders of home.

Happiness Happens Month is a whole month dedicated to celebrating what makes you happy. The unofficial holiday is based on the premise that happiness is unlimited, contagious and your positivity can bring a lot of joy in other people’s lives. Even though Happiness Happens Month sounds silly, it does have an essential purpose. The month encourages people to take stock of their lives and try to do and think about things that make them happy.
