Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a serious genetic, hormone, metabolic and reproductive disorder – and I have it. It is the leading cause of female infertility and other severe conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, liver disease and severe anxiety and depression.

I can’t believe that I am writing an article called ‘It’s ok to be on a diet’. After having some backlash in my DM’s telling me it is not a good idea to promote my weight loss, I felt compelled to reply. Being told I’m a trigger, and that I should be a positive body advocate is hurtful. I am not restricting calories, cutting out vital nutrients and encouraging people to damage their bodies – I am helping mine to become more powerful. I just wanted to share the joy I have got from my achievements.
How do you find contentment on the beach? Deep down we know people are not really looking at you, and they are not judging us for our size and how many love handles we may or may not have, but we all have that ‘moment’ before we go away about being seen in a bikini.
I am not always comfortable in my body (currently a curvy size 20), but ultimately, I will be on my holiday trying to get an all-over tan, with as few white bits as possible. It really is mind over matter. Here are some of my tips on how you can love yourself in a bikini.
