How to arrange a stress-free Hen Party

Us ladies have it tough when it comes to arranging a hen party.  If you are lucky enough to be given the responsibility, there can be a lot of pressure.  Has it been something that the bride-to-be has dreamt of since she was a little girl? And how do you accommodate different personal budgets, their time and worst of all, expectations?

I have been in the wedding industry for a long time and have heard all manner of adventures and incidents from brides and grooms.  I have also been to my fair share of hen parties – I am sure I have seen more willy-straws than you have had hot dinners.  I have put together my top tips on getting organised, keeping calm and pulling off a kick-ass event.

Love yourself in a bikini

How do you find contentment on the beach? Deep down we know people are not really looking at you, and they are not judging us for our size and how many love handles we may or may not have, but we all have that ‘moment’ before we go away about being seen in a bikini.

I am not always comfortable in my body (currently a curvy size 20), but ultimately, I will be on my holiday trying to get an all-over tan, with as few white bits as possible. It really is mind over matter. Here are some of my tips on how you can love yourself in a bikini.

Unsurprisingly, I could not find many pictures of me in my swimwear. This one is a rather pink me, I am ginger skinned after all, in my tankini at Xel-Ha in Mexico in September 2017.

Who celebrates Christmas in July?

Me that’s who! The last couple of years, one of the highlights in my social calendar has been attending a Christmas in July event. I love celebrating the festive season, in my summer clothes, while digging into a Christmas in July menu, with festive drinks and entertainment. This year the venue was at Steinbeck and Shaw and PRYZM Cardiff, who got to showcase that they are more than just a nightclub.

Great Outdoors Month – Explore South Wales

I am Welsh and even though I live in the capital, Cardiff, a fashionable, fast-paced, cosmopolitan city, ingrained into my bones is being in outdoor spaces, surrounded by hill mountains, open spaces and a sheep or two.

If you love getting out and about and enjoying yourself, Great Outdoors Month is perfect for you. It is an excellent opportunity to explore or reacquaint with your surroundings. Plus, I am a fair weather outdoor-er, and June should be a warm, dry month. I say, should, I am in Wales after all!
