Me that’s who! The last couple of years, one of the highlights in my social calendar has been attending a Christmas in July event. I love celebrating the festive season, in my summer clothes, while digging into a Christmas in July menu, with festive drinks and entertainment. This year the venue was at Steinbeck and Shaw and PRYZM Cardiff, who got to showcase that they are more than just a nightclub.
Unless you have been living under a rock for the last few years, chances are you will have noticed that Gin is very much in style. From Gin distillery tours to Gin tastings and even Gin and tonic tea bags – Gin is undeniably a firm favourite.
I love a cold glass of rosé! As an older teen and even in my twenties, I did not get the fascination with drinking wine, but now I do appreciate a good bottle. As I do have a sweet tooth, I tend to go for a bottle of pink.
Did you say sandwiches and cakes, with a Welsh theme? Yes, please!
On Thursday 10th January, I attended a bloggers event at Future Inns in Cardiff Bay which re-launched their afternoon tea offering. When it comes to indulging on a finger sandwich and scone you are quite literally spoilt for choice in Cardiff.
What is most impressive about the Taste of Wales Afternoon Tea, apart from the price, was that it is homemade. You always know when cakes have been bought in, or added too, cut up, etc so it makes such a difference when they are made from scratch and only have to travel a few metres from the kitchen to your table.
