This event has been such a good find! I attend business networking events for the day job and at times it can feel like you are playing the long game, however this event ticks all the boxes – meet other bloggers, given the opportunity to interact and share ideas, and be introduced to brands and products in a friendly and supportive environment. I attended my first event at the beginning of June, just one week after my new blog went live. You can read all about it here.
Last week on Thursday 19th July 2018 I attended Christmas in July with some of my work colleagues at the Bierkeller in Cardiff. I am a massive fan of Christmas and I am ready to celebrate all year round. However, I do think that decorations should not go up until December – I don’t understand those who put them up in November and take them down in February!
Viewing from my lounger on the beach in Gran Canaria, my social media streams were full of delicious-looking food as the BITE Cardiff Food Festival team teased pictures of the fantastic food that could be sampled on the lead up to the event.
The event was held on Saturday 14th July 2018 at Insole Court between 12 noon and 10pm. It was advertised as a ‘food festival with a difference’ and focused on high-quality dishes and no fast food, and no entrance fee. The Chef’s were given the challenge of creating a single dish to sell for £3 each.
On Wednesday 20th June I headed to Caerphilly with some friends to celebrate a birthday. For the last 3 years we have gone to Bryn Meadows near Ystrad Mynach for their Royal Ascot or Ladies Day event, for a day of drinking, lots of food and live horse racing.
