Win a Slimming World Survival Kit

January is a popular time of year for us to go on a diet. Like many Slimming World members, I prefer to look at it as a change of lifestyle and make healthy changes that will continue for life. If you are back on the plan or joining the Slimming World family, I have put together a survival kit that you can win to kick start the year.

Slimming World really has changed my life. Like many members, I have lost count of the number of times I joined and failed. I was never able to lose more than a stone because, in my heart, I wasn’t really dedicated – even though I was desperate to lose weight.

I re-joined in October 2019, and something this time clicked. I am now a cook from scratch advocate and never used pre-packed food – aside from a few treats, passata and tinned items like chopped tomatoes, baked beans and tuna.

I have not been losing weight in big chunks, in my first year I lost 2 stone. Which worked out, when averaged, ½ pound per week. I eat real food; I do not look for quick fixes. Some weeks I eat out and over drink. If I put on, I put on. This really is a lifestyle change for me. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. I am hoping to lose another 5 stone.

What’s in the Slimming World Survival Kit

You can win the following;

–       Measuring spoons

The perfect cooking tool to keep you on track, and to accurately measure your Syns. They can be used to measure liquid or dry ingredients. I love using the tablespoon one on my dinner plate for ketchup or mayonnaise.

–       Waffle mould

Syn free Belgian waffles are so easy to make, using a Healthy Extra B. They are ideal for breakfast or a sweet treat. The moulds are also simple to clean.

–       Silicon muffin tray

Muffin or cupcake moulds are perfect for making crustless quiche, breakfast muffins, pizza bites, hash brown nests and baked oats. I love how easily the cakes fall out.

–       Pinch of Nom – Quick and Easy recipe book

The brand-new book was released in December and has more than 100 recipes which are minimum fuss but with maximum flavour. Pinch of Nom books and the popular website are huge favourites with slimmer’s.

–       Food diary

The more organised and honest you can be by tracking your food and fitness, the more likely you are to succeed. The journal is for 12 weeks, where you can monitor fluid intake, activity and what you’ve eaten. It is a handy handbag size too.
