Marketing Series: 10 tips for overcoming writer’s block

Most writers will have trouble with writer’s block at some point in their lives.  Currently, I have a list of ideas that I would like to explore but have been uninspired to write about them.  When consulting the internet, I was informed that possible reasons for writer’s block could include fear anxiety, a life change, the end of a project the beginning of a project and well… almost anything.  It only leaves us feeling frustrated.

Cardiff Series: The history of Cardiff Bay and what it means to me

Cardiff Bay has played a significant part in Cardiff’s development, not only during the Industrial Revolution but over the last 20 years too. Its historical roots has given me one of my favourite facts to quote; “The first million pound deal in the world was done in the Coal Exchange in Cardiff Bay in 1904.”

Cardiff came alive in the late 18th Century when the second Marquess of Bute built up the dock area and railway lines from the South Wales Valley’s, to export coal to the rest of the world. The town grew rapidly from the 1830’s, at a rate of 80% per decade. The area is now known as Cardiff Bay, which has funky bars, shopping, boat trips and visitor attractions.

Great Outdoors Month – Explore South Wales

I am Welsh and even though I live in the capital, Cardiff, a fashionable, fast-paced, cosmopolitan city, ingrained into my bones is being in outdoor spaces, surrounded by hill mountains, open spaces and a sheep or two.

If you love getting out and about and enjoying yourself, Great Outdoors Month is perfect for you. It is an excellent opportunity to explore or reacquaint with your surroundings. Plus, I am a fair weather outdoor-er, and June should be a warm, dry month. I say, should, I am in Wales after all!
